Members of Madaniya’s board met with British special envoy to Syria. The meeting discussed political developments in Syria, including the transitional phase, justice, and sanctions. The discussion focused on the need for fair accountability and an active role for civil society in the political process. The meeting also touched on the situation in northeast Syria, as well as the impact of sanctions on Syrians' lives. The British side confirmed they are closely monitoring the situation before making decisions on official visits to Syria
