Democratic Republic Studies Center
The Democratic Republic Studies Center was established as a result of the interaction of academics and intellectuals interested in the socio-economic, cultural, and political conditions in the SWANA region in general, and the Syrian situation, including its regional and international dimensions, in particular. The conditions made it necessary to discern and address, through the increasing social demand for private and public freedoms, equal civil and political rights, and conditions of decent human life. The center is particularly concerned with monitoring and analyzing current events in light of deep contradictions and ongoing conflicts, and tracking their direct and indirect results and impacts on social, economic, cultural, and political structures, through in-depth research, field studies, periodic and non-periodic reports, and policy analysis. It aims to reveal their effects on public life and the lives of different social groups, and the conditions for correcting and improving them.
