DemoS

Demos is a non-governmental, non-profit, independent organization whose decisions stem from itself and the will of its members. It aims to build a stable democratic society governed by justice and sustainable peace, where humans live freely, enjoying all their rights. The organization was established on October 1, 2019, as a continuation of the work that its founders, began in 2013. The organization is active in Northeast Syria, with its main office in Qamishli city, and has branches in Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor. It works on supporting and strengthening civil society through supporting individuals and organizations, enhancing democratic values, and rooting them in local communities, and working on supporting women's issues in various forms. It works on enhancing human rights and effectively enshrining them for real justice, promoting shared living, and civil peace.
