Madaniya initiated its mobilisation on March 14th, 2023, commencing with outreach to Syrian Civil Society organisations based in the United States. At a successful event held at the Atlantic Council, Madaniya presented its mission and vision to over 30 prominent leaders of US-based CSOs and extended a sincere invitation to interested organisations that share in Madaniya's values to discuss potential synergies and areas of collaborations. Alongside the launching event, Madaniya conducted a series of meetings throughout Washington D.C. including with the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, Ethan Goldrich, and the Syria Desk team at the State Department, as well as scholars, experts, and young professionals working on the Syria file, to discuss policy options concerning the future of Syria.
