Mona Fraij

Mona Fraij is a feminist and political activist who has contributed significantly to women's empowerment in Raqqa, in northeast Syria. She is the Founder and Executive Director of Feminist, a Raqqa-based NGO, which works to advance women's rights and leadership in the area.  

Ms. Fraij has considerable expertise in strengthening women's leadership and political participation, including through programs for training, and mentoring female leaders and activists. 

Ms. Fraij has two degrees in English and Translation, and most recently a Diploma in Nonviolence and Human Rights from Aunohr University in Beirut.
